Engagement Photos

Sorry for the hiatus, I have been prepping for our engagement photos this weekend with the lovely, Meredith Perdue! I don't think I've seen Meredith since high school, so number one, I'm super pumped about reuniting, and two I'm so excited to take engagement pictures because that means soon I'll be doing save-the-dates! EEK! I'm like a little school girl!

So I have been prepping by getting all the girly things done, like hair and nails. I have also been diligently looking for perfect outfits. It is pretty tough deciding what you want to wear because what you like and what photographs well are two completely different things. I have a few outfits picked out but you'll just have to wait and find out what I choose!

I will let you in on the secret of WHERE we are taking pictures. We are going to utilize two different locations the North Carolina Museum of Art and on campus at NC State University. Both are starkly different and I'm excited to have that dimension in our photos. Unfortunately, Meredith is a UNC grad so I can't wait to show her what NCSU has to offer. ;)

I do have an exciting tidbit to show you. Etsy is an online resource for everything homemade, and I had every intention of making my props for the engagement photos but time slipped away and I decided to save some time an order a banner that I had been wanting to use for the photos, and here is the finished product!

I'm so excited to utilize this banner! I also purchased a chalk board in the shape of a heart and two mylar balloons, an X and an O! They measure 40 inches so I can't wait to see them blown up. Now let's just hope for good weather.

I can't wait to share my pictures with you so stay tuned to find out more!

xoxo,
a.
