Wedding Week: Getting Ready

Alright y'all, let's get the party started! I wanted to begin with our getting ready photos. Most of these my brother's girlfriend Erica took because she was able to be with us most of the morning as where Meredith was not. I also have to credit my beautiful friend Lee for some of the photos too!

I actually woke up around 7:30 or so the morning of the wedding not feeling too nervous, but STARVING from not having much time to eat the night before so I wandered down the hotel to get a coffee and wake up, to 1200 youth group students lined up in front of Starbucks.. or so it seemed. So I grabbed a coffee from the restaurant where I ran into mom who had already been out running errands and grabbing bagels and goodies for us for breakfast. It was a good morning because I went back with mom, ate a bagel with her and just chatted until we carried the dress to my room. At that point I still had not written everyone's cards so I had time to do that and reflect as well as shed tears that flowed pretty much throughout the day. Then at about 10am everything came into full swing!

GOOODDDD Morning! The not super attractive, just woken up look.

Hair starting and card reading from hubs!
Gals getting purdy!
 Posing for the camera!
Boys fixing themselves up and some father son wedding day bonding. Love it.
The bling!
So that was the morning thus far from Erica and Lee and then Meredith and Scott arrived to start documenting from here and I'll allow you to see the magic!
 THE LOUBS!
Ok, a teeny tiny confession. I surprised hubby with a present on our wedding day. We said absolutely no gifts but I felt bad knowing how well he's treated me from proposing to buying our wedding band and wanted him to have a special piece of jewelry too. I talked with our jeweler and he helped me surprise him with a beautiful watch on the morning of our wedding and he couldn't have been more excited! I'm so happy I did because now it will be a family heirloom because I had it monogrammed with his initials and our wedding date.
We exchanged "to my groom/to my bride" cards from Tallu-lah letterpress from etsy.
I won this little Paloma's Nest bouquet tile from a giveaway at Southern Weddings!
I loved it!! Thanks y'all!

Love these photos with dad after giving him his card.
Mom helping me with the Mikimoto pearl bracelet her mom gave her on her wedding day.
The final touches in the room.

I have to say that whole morning I was very calm. I didn't really know how to feel honestly. It was surreal, I never really thought that this would happen to me, and that our day was finally here. It was a great morning, the day was beautiful and everything went pretty smoothly so I couldn't have been more at peace on the way to meet my future husband for our first look.

And in case you missed it:

Next up, the first look!

xoxo,
mrs. a.
